I found today a very interesting website where you can draw the symbol you want and it will return how to insert this symbol in LaTeX.

Anyone who has used LaTeX probably have already felt how difficult can be when you need to find the symbol you want. Sometimes it can be quick and easy, but there are some symbols that are a pain to find.

Google has published a website which demonstrates many HTML5 features, like video and audio tag, transitions, rounded corners, etc. It is a very interesting website where you can see what HTML5 is bringing for us.

I recommend for for all, but if you are a web developer/designer, it is a mandatory visit ;)

Caffeine is a software that puts an icon in your menu bar, and when you click on it, it prevents your Mac from automatically going to sleep, dimming the screen or starting screen savers. If you want to return to the “normal”, click it again to go back.

This is very useful, specially when watching flash videos and other things that keeps you away from your keyboard and mouse but requires you computer “awake”

Have you ever needed to save a webpage as pdf ? This not happens to often, but it can be very useful in certain circumstances. There are many softwares that does it for you, but you have to install them in your machine and, of course, even if you have it installed in your machine, sometimes you need to do this from another computer.

The website http://pdfmyurl.com/ does this job easier for you. It is very simple to use and doesn’t require any software installed. The only thing you have to do is type (or paste) the address of the webpage you want.

We made a test with some website, including our own site, and the results were very good.

If you love the way that gmail organize your emails into conversations, but also need a more complex mail client like mozilla thunderbird, maybe now you have a better way to do this.

This is not as good as gmail conversations yet, but it is much better than thunderbird’s default threaded view. This thunderbird extension enables conversation view in Thunderbird, including your own messages in the conversation.

Take a look at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/54035/ and try using it. This is a very active development, so we can expect an even better extension in a short term.
